OPEN MIC SESSIONS website-blank.jpg

First Sunday of the Month
3pm  onwards

Kim Jam Open Mic is to bring musicians / performers together.

As a musician myself, I realise the need for an environment where those taking part can feel comfortable, knowing they can try new things and have full support.

Singers and musicians should bring a list of songs they’d like to do to share with other musicians on the day. This gives a chance for all musicians to be involved with each other’s performances and makes for a more fun day.

We can accommodate bands but encourage them to allow other musicians to join in their slot.

  • We work on a first come first serve basis.

  • Performers’ timeslots are written on the blackboard.

  • Average between 1 to 5 songs per artist, depending on time available.

Equipment already setup:

1 x JCM800 guitar amp with pedals for delay, high gain and tuner.

1 x Roland Cube guitar amp with crunch, high gain and delay

1 x Fender Rumble, 60 bass amp.

1 x 3 piece tuned drum kit with low volume cymbals.

1 x Roland P80 keyboard.

4 x Sure SM58 vocal mics with side-fill monitoring.

PA and Sound engineered by Glastonbury pro-sound engineer Rhys Gillett.

Stephen Loveday and Rhys Gillett have many years of experience in live sound music production.

Unfortunately, we don’t have space or time for any equipment change overs so check with the stage plan (below) that the situation and set up will work for you.
